Some companies in Britain are currently trying out a four day week for employees who had previously worked a five day week.

These employees enjoy the same pay and same leave entitlements and so far it appears productivity increases rather than falls as a result of the move to the four day week.

Ffyona Dawber from Synergy Vision, a company in the UK who made the move to a four day week on December 1, tells Sean O'Rourke how the initiative works.

She is joined by Maeve McElwee, Director of Employee Relations, at IBEC and by Joe O'Connor, Lead Organiser with FORSA, about how it could impact Irish companies.
