IT and communications service provider Paradyn has announced a €1.2m cloud connectivity deal with BT Ireland.

The agreement will enable Paradyn to provide increased bandwidth up to 10Gbps, resilient connectivity and secure cloud hosting to customers.

The speed of connectivity has become ever more critical for more and more Irish companies.

This, coupled with the growth in demand for flexible mobile working, has fuelled the requirement for increased bandwidth and improved resilience among Paradyn's customers – which include Ryanair,  Bloomberg PolarLake and Carbery Group.

Its clients also include Cork, Galway, Donegal, Meath and Wexford County Councils.

The company said its technology has saved its customers significant time that was previously spent managing complex IT systems.

Today's agreement with BT Ireland will enable these bodies to meet stringent regulatory requirements, it added.

Cillian McCarthy, CEO of Paradyn, said that secure, reliable and fast connectivity is vital for organisations operating in today's digital economy.

"They need guaranteed uptime and absolute assurance that their workloads are safe and to meet those needs, we are announcing this investment in additional cloud and connectivity infrastructure," Mr McCarthy said.

"Many of our customers require the highest levels of security, as well as backup and data recovery solutions.

"The additional hosting infrastructure will enable us to continue to provide these services with even greater peace of mind for our customers," he added.
